After completing his automotive studies, René de Haas specialised himself in hydraulics. As a hydraulic engineer he started his career in 2001 at Frames Energy Systems and traveled the world to install, maintain and commission Xmas tree installations (Hydraulic Well Control).
Other activities included:
- Inspection, installation and maintenance on SDV's and riser valves including control panels.
- Installation, maintenance and commissioning of chemical injection systems.
- Installation of internals of water and gas separators.
- Training client personnel in the use of autoclave tubing installations.

Construction supervisor:
Responsible for installation and hook up for all hydraulics installations onboard of FPSO's such as winch anchors, ballast systems and offloading hose reels. Inspections and assessments on carryover works and integration, supplying specified documents to management with materials, specified equipment and man hour calculation.
Superintendent:
Responsible for commissioning of all systems including compliance of work force on safety and maintain 0 LTA. Construction expertise to support the construction management team to make strategic decisions.
Interim manager

Responsible for managing plant upgrades and maintenance plans.
